Going into Ready Player Two, I wasn't sure whether he would be able to bring the characters back in a way that felt worthwhile or continue the story without it feeling forced. What carries it is that same nostalgic thread. It taps into those warm childhood memories while everything around the characters is still moving at high stakes, and you're there nodding along to the game and film references as the story unfolds.
These are definitely books for nerds, and I mean that in the best way. If the mix of pop culture, gaming references, adventure, and near-future sci-fi sounds like your thing, they are easy to recommend.
